Friendly Piedmont is the special welcome that the Piedmont region devotes to LGBTIQ tourists, and not only that, but also to offer the best welcoming culture. The great tourist offer of Torino and Piedmont is enriched with the colours of the rainbow thanks to extensive work in the area and to the great care of the many tour operators involved.

Friendly Piedmont is a project created by the Quore association in 2010 and implemented in collaboration with the Piedmont Region to promote the Torino and Piedmont area as an LGBTIQ tourist destination.

The project aims at raising awareness among tour operators about welcoming LGBTIQ tourists, creating opportunities for dialogue and exchanges regarding the subject of sexual orientation and above all to encourage the development of a better culture of hospitality.

Friendly Piedmont brings together countless operators in the area, local authorities and agencies for the promotion of tourism committed to tailor-made packages for individuals and groups to guarantee the best travel experiences.

The world of tourism is represented by various local realities that promote the territory in order to guarantee the potential tourist an attentive and specific service regarding each product.

In particular:

The Local Tourist Agencies: these are organizational structures at the local level involving activities of welcoming, information-giving and tourist assistance;
IAT offices: these are tourist information offices located throughout the territory to provide tourists with promotional material and detailed information;
the Tourist Consortia: they carry out promotional-marketing and activities for the enhancement of the Piedmont tourist product;
the Pro Locos: these organizations carry out activities of promotion and enhancement of the territory and of social usefulness

THE CITY WALKING TOUR

Tuttaltrastoria is an experience that is unique in its kind, a city walking tour that takes place on foot through the streets and squares of the historic centre of Torino. From piazza San Carlo to Porte Palatine passing through piazza Carignano, the Galleria Subalpina, via Po and piazza Castello.

The itinerary presents a non-traditional vision of the history of Torino and of the Piedmont region through a fascinating narration that focuses on the lives of 12 illustrious historic figures. Men and women who have left memorable traces on our territory, have experienced crucial moments or even inspired changes.

Of these individuals, through writings and documents often concealed by the official historiography, you will discover curiosities, unexpected events, secret loves.

The stroll to discover these facts, curiosities and hidden treasures is led by an exceptional tour guide who is able to involve and fascinate with great detail.

Have a good trip, then, a trip that will begin with “Once upon a time…”, but this is Tuttaltrastoria (a completely different story).
